The LGBT community couldn’t help but notice the many pro-LGBT themes that were present in Super Bowl 50’s halftime show, which included a number of not-so-subtle elements that supported the LGBT movement.
Rainbows were a major theme during the Super Bowl 50 halftime show, with the audience holding up rainbow-colored cards to create a rainbow with white words “Believe in Love” — a rather obvious allusion to same sex marriage equality.
Coldplay lead man Chris Martin’s shirt and stage were also covered in LGBT-themed imagery.
The halftime show also included a nod to the Black Lives Matter movement, which included the Black Panthers-inspired suits donned by Beyonce’s dancers.
The LGBT-friendly thematic elements of this year’s Super Bowl are no doubt related to the location where the sporting event was held in the LGBT-friendly San Francisco Bay Area at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
