So you’ve finally found someone fabulous and now, it’s time to plan that ever-important first date….but hanging out at the local bar or catching dinner and a movie just seems lame. It’s not exactly the stuff of a super memorable first date.
So set the stage for something wonderful with these tips for an absolutely incredible first date – one that you’re sure to remember, even if your date isn’t mister or misses right.
Date Idea #1: Go to the Dog Park
Let’s face it: if you’re a dog person, your furry friend simply must like the other person in your life! And if you’re going to get along, then your dogs have to get along too! So grab your pups and head to the dog park, the beach or another pet-friendly location. They’ll be perfect buffer for your date, making it easy to break the ice!
Date Idea #2: Do Breakfast
Are you a morning person? If so, consider opting for a breakfast date! Everyone does lunch and dinner dates, but breakfast has an entirely different vibe (and plus, if you hit it off, you can spend the rest of the day together!)
Date Idea #3: Have a Picnic
Sounds a bit old school, but that’s part of what makes this date idea so fun! Grab some wine, cheese or whip up a picnic basket with an entire meal and make your way to a beautiful location.
You can make things even more interesting by picking an interesting or unusual location for your picnic date, like the hills overlooking the airport so you can watch the planes arrive and depart.
Date Idea #4: Take a Class
Sign up for a cooking class, a pottery class, scrapbooking course, dancing or anything else that strikes your fancy! So even if you don’t hit it off with your date, you can walk away knowing you’ve got some fun new skill under your belt.
Date Idea #5: Try Some Trivia
There are few things better than trivia night at the local bar. You’re sure to have a great time, even if trivia isn’t exactly our strong point. And if that date turns out to be a dud, you won’t be put in a position where you’re stuck with awkward silences between bursts of even-more-awkward conversation.
Date Idea #6: Pretend You’re a Tourist
Whether you live in the Bay Area, Boston or anywhere in between, there are sure to be lots of wonderful sights and events to see and do. So go on a Boston Duck Tour, visit Alcatraz or check out another tourist hot spot and enjoy all that your city has to offer!
